I’ve been a painter, printmaker and tilemaker but when I discovered collage I said, “This is it; this medium is mine.” Collage lets me use my love for words, concrete and abstract. The detritus of our contemporary culture, posters picked up in my travels, are all grist for the mill. I have enough paper for the next ten years. I hope I never lose the excitement of the torn edge, the close relationship and the thrill of bringing something new and exciting into being.
